day 4: life as hermione

blog challenge, day four: the movie i always wanted to be in

maybe i'm just saying this because i'm currently rereading hp4 (then 5, 6, and 7) and because i'm waiting in hopeful anticipation for this:

it should come as no surprise that, if given the choice, i would be hermione granger of the harry potter series. in particular, i choose harry potter and the deathly hallows (i know, i know, it's not out yet...but, if it's anything like the book, my list of reasons will still be true)

1. hermione is beautiful, smart, unashamedly nerdy, independent, awesome. who wouldn't want to be like that?

2. we have a lot in common. we both went through that horribly awkward stage of life, around age 12, with crimped hair and awkward crushes (i still have those...) and an obsession with the library and history books

3. ronald weasley is a total dream boat.

4. if you've heard me talk about hp at all, you know that book 7, page 176 is my favorite.

"...everything was quiet except for Ron and Hermione's slow, deep breathing. Harry glanced over at the dark shapes they made on the floor beside him. Ron had had a fit of gallantry and insisted that Hermione sleep on the cushions from the sofa, so that her silhouette was raised about his. Her arm curved to the floor, her fingers inches from Ron's. Harry wondered whether they had falled asleep holding hands..."

ron and hermione (me) finally get together. such good romance going on in the midst of tragedy. i love it.

5. i already have a picture at king's cross station, and i called my chemistry lab "potions," so, really, i'm 1/16 of the way there...

6. if numbers 1-5 aren't convincing enough, just rewatch the trailer...
